About Austen Builders

Austen Builders Ltd is owned and operated by Harvey Austen. Harvey is a Registered Master Builder, NZ Trade Certified and Licensed Building Practitioner (Site2). Austen Builders Ltd is a residential building company based in Franklin specialising in new homes.

Austen Builders Ltd is a second generation building company started by Harvey’s father more than 40 years ago. Harvey completed his apprenticeship independently in 1992 before joining his father in the Company. Harvey took control of the Company in 2004. Over this time Austen Builders have been involved in construction of new homes, renovations and light commercial builds.

Harvey has extensive industry and construction knowledge including Project Management, Product Procurement, Pricing, Construction Programming, Compliance and Health & Safety management. It is however Harvey’s exacting eye for detail and training his staff from apprentices to qualified builders that ensures a consistent attention to a quality finished home.

At Austen Builders we are extremely proud of what we produce, delivering a quality product and the satisfaction of our clients is our top priority.

Evidence of this has been having Austen Builders receive a New Zealand Registered Master Builders 2016 House of the Year Gold Award for excellence in workmanship, creativity and innovation and also being the overall Category Winner in its class for its region.
